Lambert Lane Dip Crossing Repair & Improvements Phase 2

Repairs to dip crossing on Lambert Lane at Sierra Wash.
Status:
Active

The project is located approximately 900 feet west of the intersection with LaCholla Boulevard, and more specifically on the south side of Lambert Lane between Cross Road and Derrio Canyon Road where Sierra Wash crosses the roadway at-grade.

The scope of the $240K project involves construction of a reinforced concrete drop structure with a wire enclosed rock riprap apron, repaving the south shoulder area with asphalt and installation of guard rail. The improvements are to mitigate erosion and stabilize the eastbound shoulder area of Lambert Lane during wash runoff events. Construction commenced on January 20, with completion anticipated on or before March 27, 2020.

The Town’s Stormwater Utility was successful in obtaining a State Emergency Council (SEC) grant from the Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs (DEMA) which provides reimbursement of $220,909.00 of the project construction cost from the State.

Closure of the east bound lane through the construction area will occur intermittingly during the course of the construction.

Drivers are asked to comply with the 25 MPH speed limit through the project limits.
