Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) Classes

Following the guidelines of USA Archery, students will:

  • Train for line tournaments and competitions
  • Train to shoot 3D archery
  • Train for Field Archery (using the NFAA walking courses).

As a sanctioned JOAD club, students will:

  • Have the chance to qualify for Olympic pins using the JOAD pin system
  • Have the opportunity to compete in state and national tournaments
  • Be introduced to and taught thoroughly how to score arrows
  • Learn how to tune bows and index arrows
  • Learn proper shooting technique

Audience:        Ages 8 - 20

Intermediate Level JOAD Archery:

Day/Time:  Mondays, 4:15 - 5:30 p.m.

Advanced Level JOAD Archery:

Day/Time:   Saturdays, 8 - 10 a.m.
                           Session Dates:  April 7, 14 & 28 (no 21)
                                                       May 5, 12 & 16
                                                      June 2 & 9
                                                      June 16 & 30
                                                      July 7 & 14
                                                      July 21 & 28
                                                      Aug. 4, 11 & 18
                                                                                                           

Instructor:  Oro Valley staff member Meaghan Bunge is a Level 3 Nationally Certified Olympic Coach.  She is a 3D division tournament champion and has placed first in many line tournaments in Arizona.
