BALLFIELDS CLOSED FOR IMPROVEMENTS: From August 27, 2018 through March 1, 2019, the JDK Park ballfields will be closed for major improvements, including new irrigation, new grass, laser-leveled fields, new fencing and dugouts. We are very excited about this project! To learn more, click here.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Only the ballfields are closed. All other park amenities will remain open.

James D. Kriegh Park has the only public racquetball courts in Oro Valley.

Racquetball Courts  Racquetball Courts are open Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m., Saturdays from 6:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and Sundays from 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.  (One court is available with extended hours. Please call in advance to reserve.)

Please be advised that the Racquetball Courts are locked and a reservation is required to receive the lock combination.

  • Reservations are made on a first come, first served basis. Reservations may be made
    in person or by calling:

    Mon-Fri 5:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.; Sat 6:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; Sun 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
  • The Town of Oro Valley's Programs will receive priority scheduling.  Courts are available for public use during non-program hours.
  • Users will be required to read facility rules and sign a liability waiver before receiving the lock combination.
  • Racquetball Courts can be reserved up to two (2) hours for play.
  • Court Rental Fees: A fee of $2.00 per hour shall be charged for each hour of use.  (times determined by the Parks and Recreation Department depend on season).
    Fall/Winter (Sept.–Feb.): 6–9 a.m.; 5–10 p.m.
    Spring/Summer (Mar.–Aug.): (No Morning Fee; / 7–10 p.m.
  • Rental Fees: A fee of $1.00 per Racquet along with $.50 cents per ball will be assessed should rental be required.

Off Leash Dog Park
Located next to the Northeast parking lot.

The dog park will be closed for maintenance on Thursdays between 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Dog Park Rules

  • The dog park is reserved as a dog park only - no other uses allowed.
  • All dogs must be licensed and vaccinated and must wear their permit tags.
  • No dogs under 4 months.
  • No female dogs in season.
  • Limit 3 dogs per visit - owners must be able to maintain control of their dogs.
  • Leash dogs while entering and exiting the Dog Park.
  • Dog owners must be in the park with the dog at all times, and carry a visible leash.
  • Pick up all pet waste and properly dispose of it.
  • Immediately fill any holes your dog digs.
  • Only small bowls for drinking are allowed.
  • Aggressive dogs are not allowed - remove dogs at the first sign of aggression.  The Oro Valley Police Department may be called to address aggressive dog issues; appropriate sanctions may be taken.
  • An adult must accompany children under 13 years of age.  Keep children under strict supervision.
  • Enter at your own risk.
  • Park users who fail to comply with the above rules may be asked to leave.
