Celebrate Oro Valley is an annual event, designed to celebrate the community we love.

This year’s theme, “As our Story Grows,” will highlight where we as a town have been but most importantly, where we are going as our story grows.

Saturday, April 11, 2020 - 9:00am-2:00pm 

We will showcase the following pillars of our "story:"

• Arts & Culture
• Science & Technology
• Sports & Recreation
• Landscape & Wildlife
• Leadership & Direction

This year we are also highlighting the history of the Horse in the Southwest.

Celebrate Oro Valley will include:

Live Music
Music all day long provided by:

  • Cowboy at Heart David Rychener
  • Bill Ganz duo with Bill Ganz and William Ronstadt,
  • WildRide, a fantastic Country Rock band from right here in Tucson.

Horse demonstrations:

  • Therapeutic Ranch for Animals and Kids (TRAK) performers
  • Charros y Modelos de Arizona, winners of the Charro entry in the Tucson Rodeo parade 2019
  • And descendants of Steam Pump Ranch, the Leiber Family rodeo riders.
  • Also in sharing the history of the Horse in the Southwest will be the Spanish Barb Horse Association showcasing the Arizona’s Heritage horse, the Spanish Colonial Horse,

Fantastic Vendors and booths including:

  • Western artisans
  • The University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine exhibit and booth
  • The Empire Ranch Foundation.
  • Local businesses
  • Town of Oro Valley department booths with activities and fun for families as we share what we do to make Oro Valley a great place to work, live, play and enjoy

Ongoing events throughout the day:

  • Petting zoo and pony rides by TRAK
  • Heirloom Farmers Market 8 – noon
  • Historical Society Ranch tours along with a panel of descedants of early ranchers from the area
  • Photo & art shows
  • Commerce Corral
  • Historic, Western and Americana Artisan and Antique Fair
  • Heritage Garden demonstrations with Hands on Archaeology
  • Exhibits and activities for families
  • Crafts for children
