OV publishes annual reader-friendly financial report for FY 2016-17

January 30, 2018

The Town of Oro Valley is pleased to announce the publication of its Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) for fiscal year ending June 30, 2017.

Each year, the Town of Oro Valley produces a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), which outlines the Town’s financial position and operating activities and includes audited financial statements; however, due to its length and scope, the CAFR is not very reader-friendly. In order to make the Town’s financial information more accessible to the public, it began producing the award-winning PAFR in 2012.

“The Popular Annual Financial Report is produced each year to highlight information from our audited financial statements and adopted budget to provide the public with a concise, easy-to-understand summary of the Town’s financial condition,” said Oro Valley Finance Director Stacey Lemos.

The PAFR includes a summary of accomplishments, net assets, activities, revenues, expenditures, debt and financial ratings and a snapshot of historical trends in these areas.
