Bank Robbery in Oro Valley

On October 2, 2017 at 12:13 p.m., Oro Valley Police Department (OVPD) responded to the Washington Federal Bank at 8001 North Oracle Road reference an armed bank robbery. Initial reports are the suspect told the teller “this is a robbery” and said he had a gun. He lifted his shirt and displayed a black, semi-automatic handgun, tucked in his pants. He was given an undisclosed amount of money and left on foot, south from the bank.

He is described as a White male in his 40’s with an average build. In the photos, he has shoulder length, black hair but this is likely a wig. He may walk with an awkward gait and was holding a cane, but did not appear to use it. Please use the following link to access video.
