Spotlight on Youth: Pranoy Solomon

Oro Valley student Pranoy Solomon was recognized at the October Spotlight on Youth. Pranoy has Down Syndrome and he has already become an advocate for inclusion in the community as well as acceptance and celebration of diverse individuals.

He was selected from more than 2,000 entries by the National Down Syndrome Society after a worldwide photo contest. A photo of him was shown at the annual video presentation on the giant screen in Times Square, highlighting the various lifestyles of people with Down Syndrome. Nine-year-old Pranoy is a shining example of the impact one person can have on the world, regardless of their age or ability.
