UPDATE:TOV & GRFD to open unified command post ahead of storms

SAND BAG UPDATE
Additional sand bags have been delivered and will be available to residents of Oro Valley and the Golder Ranch Fire District. Supplies are limited.

In anticipation of the projected storms and flooding from Odile, Mayor Satish I. Hiremath has issued a proclamation declaring a local emergency. In response, the Town of Oro Valley and Golder Ranch Fire Department will activate a unified command post on Wednesday, September 17 at 6 p.m. at the Oro Valley Emergency Operations Center (OVPD Tangerine Substation, 1920 E. Tangerine Road at Oro Valley Marketplace). The two agencies will coordinate resources to manage emergency situations, media requests and volunteer support.

CANCELLATIONS & CLOSURES
As a precautionary measure, Wednesday evening’s Town Council meeting has been cancelled, and Oro Valley Town Hall administrative offices will close at 3 p.m.

SAND BAG UPDATE
Additional sand bags have been delivered and will be available to residents of Oro Valley and the Golder Ranch Fire District. Supplies are limited.

Sand bags can be picked up beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 17 at one of two locations:
• Golder Ranch Fire Station 377 – 355 E. Linda Vista Blvd.
• Golder Ranch Fire Station 370 – 3835 E. Golder Ranch Road
