Round Up at the Ranch 5K Run/Walk to benefit youth recreation scholarships


If you’re looking for a fun opportunity to stay fit and support a great cause, join the Town of Oro Valley on Sunday, July 29, for the third annual Round Up at the Ranch 5K Run/Walk. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Town's Round Up For Youth Recreation Scholarship Program, which makes fee-based recreation programs accessible to Oro Valley youth who reside in financially constrained households.

This fun, summer 5k will take place along the multi-use path, beginning at Steam Pump Ranch, located at 10901 N. Oracle Road. The race begins at 6 a.m. and heads east toward Catalina State Park. The event includes snacks, water, watermelon and a water balloon toss. Runners, walkers and strollers are welcome. Prizes will be awarded to overall male and female winners, and five-year age groups.

Fee: $20 in advance; $25 on race day

Children 12 and under race for free with a paying adult - register children on the day of the race (web registration will not allow for children 12 and under to register online).

Socks will be for sale on site or during online registration.

Number pick-up is on Saturday, July 28, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Oro Valley Community Center, 10555 N. La Cañada Drive in Oro Valley.
