Main Streets

The Main Streets project is focused on creating a town center in Oro Valley. These areas will be walkable and unique and include places to gather, dine and shop. The project launched in 2016 and the planning process will take two to three years to complete.

Oro Valley Main Streets Vision
Oro Valley’s unique Main Streets serve as the center of the town and reflect the community character. People come from near and far to walk around, check out local shops and grab a bite to eat. Visitors can meet locals, bring friends and share with family. Main Streets are inviting, walkable and vibrant and offer recreation, commercial, entertainment and cultural activity.

  • January 17, 2018 - Success of Local Business: Main Streets and the Housing Connection

    On January 17 the Town Council will be holding a study session to learn about the Main Streets project and the market study that was recently completed. Town staff and the market consultant will be presenting. You can find the January 17 presentation online here.


  • January 11, 2018 - Oro Valley Main Streets Advisory Group Meetings

    OV Main Streets is a Town project to promote areas for gathering, dining and shopping that serve as a town center. Using the Concept Plan as a starting point, an Advisory Group will review selected topics and make recommendations for the second phase of this project. The Advisory Group is comprised of business owners, property owners, economic and community development professionals as well as local residents. The public is invited to attend the Advisory Group meetings, which will be held eight times from January - May 2018.

    Meetings are held on Thursdays from 4-6 PM at Town Hall (11000 N. La Cañada Drive) in the Hopi or Kachina Conference Room. Dates and expected topics are:

    Economic development and partnerships: January 11 and February 1
    Area-wide plans and designs: February 22 and March 15
    Regulatory Framework (zoning): April 15 and May 10
    Economic development and wrap-up: May 31
