Next date: Monday, April 19, 2021 | 12:00 AM to Friday, April 23, 2021 | 11:59 PM

We may not be able to gather in large crowds yet, but that won’t stop us from celebrating the community we love! This year, Celebrate Oro Valley will be a virtual event built around the event’s five foundational pillars as outlined below. Over the course of five days, we’ll talk about each of those pillars and will have fun activities and crafts for kids. For all the details be sure to follow Oro Valley Parks and Recreation on Facebook.

  • April 19: (double feature) Arts & Culture, featuring a virtual tour of some of Oro Valley’s public art. Also, a do it yourself art project tutorial with Artist Jane Hicks (check the Oro Valley Parks and Recreation Facebook page for details on how to pick up your craft supplies).
  • April 20: (double feature) Science & Technology, with the UArizona College of Veterinary Medicine which is right here in Oro Valley! Also, follow the Mayor and U of A developer of Natures Notebook, Erin Posthumus, to learn about how to participate in the Citizen Science Phenology trail program
  • April 21: Sports & Recreation, with a Lieber Family oral history project.
  • April 22: Landscape & Wildlife, with the Sonoran Desert Coalition and Earth Day celebration
  • April 23: Leadership & Direction, with Mayor Joe Winfield.
