Public safety agencies partner for Child Passenger Safety Week

September 15, 2016

The Oro Valley Police Department (OVPD) is partnering with Golder Ranch Fire District and Mountain Vista Fire District for “Child Passenger Safety Week.” On Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 8 - 10 a.m. at OVPD’s main police station located at 11000 North La Cañada Drive, certified child passenger safety technicians will be available to install and inspect child safety seats. Fire and police vehicles will be on display, so bring the kids!

The Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, in partnership with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, supports Child Passenger Safety Week to ensure the safety of young children traveling on the roadways throughout our state.  This year, Child Passenger Safety Week is September 18th through September 24th.
