GRFD and OVPD team up for flag disposal program

The Oro Valley Police Department (OVPD) and Golder Ranch Fire District (GRFD) are teaming up to properly retire American flags. Did you know the U.S. Flag Code dictates that, “The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way…”? Starting April 11, 2016 through Memorial Day, May 30, 2016, in honor of this code, anyone may drop off their retired flags for proper disposal at one of the following 10 locations:

Golder Ranch Fire District stations:
