Oro Valley Planning & Zoning Commission is Seeking Applicants

 

The Town of Oro Valley is now accepting applications for volunteers to fill one position on the Planning & Zoning Commission.

The term will run through June 30, 2010.  Applicants must be residents of the town of Oro Valley, and must attend the Town's Citizen Planning Institute during their term, if they have not already done so.

The Planning & Zoning Commission holds public meetings and makes recommendations to the Town Council on matters relating to the creation of zoning districts, enforcement of zoning, amendments to all zoning ordinances and any other matter within the scope of the town’s Zoning Code and General Plan.

The commission meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m.

The deadline for submitting the completed application is Mon., Dec. 28, 2009.

 

Oro Valley Historic Commission Seeking Applicants

 

The Town of Oro Valley is now accepting applications for volunteers to fill an interim vacancy on the Town’s Historic Preservation Commission.

Applicants must be residents of the town of Oro Valley.  The Historic Preservation Commission was formed to promote the educational, cultural and economic welfare of Oro Valley by insuring the preservation of historic buildings, districts, landmarks, structures, documents, photographs and other artifacts that represent the historic background and development of the greater Oro Valley area. The Commission meets the second Monday of every month at 6 p.m. at Town Hall.

The deadline for submitting the completed application is Friday, Jan. 29, 2010.
