OV seeking applicants for Planning & Zoning Commission
The Town of Oro Valley is now accepting applications for volunteers to fill a vacancy on the Planning & Zoning Commission. The term will expire 12/31/13.
Applicants must be residents of the Town of Oro Valley and must attend the Town's Citizen Planning Institute during their term, if they have not already done so.
The seven-member Planning and Zoning Commission meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. It holds public meetings and makes recommendations to the Town Council on all matters relating to the creation of zoning districts, the enforcement of zoning regulations, amendments to all zoning ordinances and any other matter within the scope of the zoning power.

OV seeking applicants for Board of Adjustment
The Town of Oro Valley is accepting applications for one open position on the Board of Adjustment (BOA). The term expires December 31, 2013. Applicants must be residents of the Town of Oro Valley.
The Board of Adjustment is a five-member board that meets on the 4th Tuesday of every month at 3p.m. This quasi-judicial board has the power to review and decide on administrative decisions or zoning requirements that create unnecessary hardships in the development of property due to exceptional or extraordinary conditions.

Oro Valley Seeking Applicants for Representative to the
Tucson-Pima County Bicycle Advisory Committee
The Town of Oro Valley is now accepting applications for a volunteer position on the regional Tucson-Pima County Bicycle Advisory Committee (TPCBAC). The term for this position expires December 31, 2013. Applicants must be residents of the Town of Oro Valley.
The TPCBAC holds public meetings and serves in an advisory capacity to local governments on issues related to bicycle recreation, transportation and safety. The committee meets the second Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m. at Himmel Library, 1035 N. Treat Ave. in Tucson. In addition, subcommittee meetings and special events are held as needed.
Applicants should have a strong interest in bicycling and bicycle-related issues. The appointee will serve as liaison, facilitating communication with other TPCBAC jurisdictional representatives, as well as Oro Valley staff.
