Patrol Bureau A
The Patrol Bureau is responsible for the uniformed patrol functions of the Department, including 24-hour response to the initial investigation of crimes and incidents, traffic enforcement and control, accident investigation, community policing programs, specialized operations, such as SWAT and K-9.
The Patrol Bureau Lieutenants are responsible for directing, controlling and managing normal and specialized patrol assets and ensuring these assets are deployed in the most efficient manner. Patrol Bureau Lieutenants are responsible for the supervision of six patrol squads, the Motor/Traffic Unit, Canine (K-9) Unit, Community Action Team (CAT), DUI Enforcement and Bike Officers.
