Critical Incident Stress Management

The Oro Valley Police Department Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Team is dedicated to minimizing the powerful impact of emotional and psychological aftershocks on emergency service personnel involved in traumatic operations.  They provide stress education, counseling, support and compassion.

The team was started in 2001 and is comprised of the following:

The Oro Valley Police Department CISM Team and its members are registered with the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) and adhere to the ICISF model when dealing with critical incident stress debriefings as well as critical incident stress management situations.
