Communications Bureau

Communications Supervisor Nancy Anderson

The Oro Valley Police Department Communications Bureau is the primary answering point for all 9-1-1 emergency calls in Oro Valley.  The center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and handles approximately 16,800 calls for police service annually.

The Communications Bureau is staffed with full time dispatchers who are trained professionals dedicated to providing the highest level of public safety communications to the community.  Dispatchers serve as the primary link between the public and the police officers.  They receive 9-1-1 emergency telephone calls, assist citizens with requests for service and general inquiries.  Each call is evaluated and the appropriate public safety personnel are dispatched to handle the situation.
