Is there a grace period?
There is a 3-day grace period on items checked out at the library, except for reference materials. If you return items within the grace period, you are not charged overdue fines. The materials are considered overdue, but the fines are not assessed. On the fourth day from your original due date, you are charged overdue fines from the date your item was due originally. Visit Fees & Fines for more information.
What is the privacy and confidentiality of my library record?
Because of privacy concerns, a customer's library record details may not be shared with anyone but that customer. Reserves for a customer may be picked up by someone else if the person has the customer's library card or the library cards are linked.
What are linked library cards?
Library cards can be linked together to allow any person in the linked group to pick up and check out library reserves for anyone in the linked group. Linked cards allow quick access to view account information of persons in the linked group. Library cards must be linked at the library information desks. For more information on linked library cards, visit PCPL's webpage, Library Cards - Linked Library Cards.
