Computer Time

  • Internet Access Desktops
    All you need is your library card and PIN number to log in to one of the computers.  Visitors can borrow a computer only library card with an I.D.  Each customer is allowed 2 sessions per day. Each session is 1 hour long with the possibility of another 30 minutes as long as there are no reservations for that computer. If customers logoff before their hour is over, they lose the remaining time and it still counts as one session for the day.
  • Laptops
    Each customers is allowed one laptop loan a day for 2 hours on a first-come, first-serve basis, but can borrow another one if there is one available. Reservations are not available for laptops.

            DataTraveler 512 MB Flash Drives are available for sale at the Information Desk for $5.50.

            Earbuds are available for sale at the Information Desk for $1.00.

          PC Reservations (Internet Access Desktop Computers only)

          You can make reservations up to one day in advance using your library card at the PC Reservation/Printing Station located outside the Study Room, by calling the library at 229-5300 or stopping by the Information Desk.  Read PC/Reservation Tips (PDF file) for more detailed instructions.

          Printing (Internet Access Desktop Computers only)

          Printing is available from the Internet Access Desktop Computers for 10¢ per page through the PC Reservation/Print Station, which takes up to $4.50 in bills and change.

          Laptop Loan Program

          Lenovo ThinkPad Laptop Computers are available for use inside the library and may not be removed from the premises.

          To borrow a laptop you will need:

          • A signed Laptop Loan Agreement. (Loan Agreements are kept on file for one year.)
          • Your library card, in good standing, updated with current information.
          • A valid drivers license or other picture identification.
          • Picture ID and library card are held at the library Information Desk until the laptop is returned.

          Appropriate Behavior on Computers

          • Only persons logged onto a computer are allowed in the computer area.
          • Patrons using computers should refrain from conversations with each other or while on cell phones as this distracts others from their work.
