The Colors of Spring
April 2012 ExhibitDuring the spring season, the Arizona landscape is abundant with beautiful wildflowers in many colors. It is one of nature's most spectacular creations. Each year is uniquely different, depending on the amount of rainfall through the winter and early spring months and the warm temperatures that follow. There are over 400 different wildflower and plant species found in Southeastern Arizona. The best time to see wildflowers in the Arizona deserts is in the spring (March through early May). However, wildflowers are also in bloom during the summer (late July through early September) and autumn (October to late November).
