Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Oro Valley Public Library is a nonprofit organization completely staffed by volunteers who care about our library and are working to help make it even better.  The Friends raise funds for the library furnishings, programs, and services.  The latest service sponsored in part by the Friends is the wireless printing service.     

Book Shoppe

Friends' volunteers operate the Friendliest Used Book Shoppe in Oro Valley, located in the library.  Their operating hours are:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday • 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Tuesday, Thursday • 11 a.m. – 6:45 p.m.

Some of the items for sale in the Book Shoppe are books, magazines, videos, DVD's, CD's, cassettes, book bags,  bookmarks, cards and more.

Bi-Annual Book Sales

The Friends have two bi-annual book sales in the Fall and Spring with more than 20,000 books and other items for sale.  All the proceeds benefit the library!

Donating Books & Other Items to the Friends

The Friends accept donations for resale during operating hours.  You can receive a tax-deductible donation.

Joining the Friends

Interested in joining the Friends and making a difference in your community?  For as little as $10/year your membership will help to purchase computers and technology for the library, support the Teen Advisory Board, Sponsor Pajama Storytime and other programs, sponsor the annual book festival and more!  Join the fun and volunteer!
