Gardening specialist, lecturer and author of Hot Pots, Yard Full of Sun, The Hot Garden, Designer Plant Combinations and Chasing Wildflowers. Calhoun writes a weekly garden design column for The Arizona Daily Star and the Western states plant notes coumn for Country Gardens magazine. He is also a regular contributor to Sunset and Horticulture magazines. Gardening enthusiasts will find insight, inspiration and ideas for landscape and garden design in southwestern regions. His company, Zona Gardens, is located in Tucson, Arizona.

Pediatrician and parenting educator, Dr. Heins will discuss Two Arizona Black Birds, a children's book about desert ecology and sharing, with David Fitzsimmons, Arizona Daily Star Cartoonist, who illustrated the book. Dr. Heins has a parenting website parentkidsright and has written many parenting columns for the Arizona Daily Star.

Mark Andersson, founder of Panther Peak Bindery, is a bookbinder, book conservator, and instructor. Mark will discuss the history of bookbinding and the care of personal libraries.
