Winter Reading ProgramJanuary 11 – March 31 Join in on the fun and ask for a Book Bingo game card. Everyone can participate ~ Adults, Teens, & Children! Read books in different genres and use various library services. Complete a bingo line in any direction and hand in your card. Receive a small prize and an entry into the Grand Prize drawing! Cards must be turned in by March 31st. |

AARP Tax-AideFebruary 2 – April 15 • Tuesdays, 9 a.m. – Noon • Thursdays, 1 – 4 p.m. Free, volunteer-run tax preparation and assistance serving low- and middle-income taxpayers with special attention to those ages 60 and older. According to the AARP website, the tax help sessions "are the nation's largest, free, volunteer-run tax preparation and assistance service." |

4th Annual Oro Valley Book FestivalSaturday, February 13 • 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. The event will feature over 30 local and regional authors offering book signings for readers of all ages. Author presentations by Scott Calhoun, Marilyn Heins, M.D., Linda Kranz and Chris O'Dell will be given throughout the day. The exhibitors include Oro Valley Historical Society with Barbara Marriott, Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance, "Not Just for English Majors", book binder/conservator Mark Andersson and Sun Sounds of Arizona. Other activities include T.A.B. (Teen Advisory Board) bake sale, to support the TeenZone, Digital Child Id, and a children's craft table sponsored by F.A.B. (Family Advisory Board). |

Inca EmpireTuesday, February 16 • 2 – 3:30 p.m. • Program Room • Adults & Teens The Inca people developed a society larger than the Romans without the benefit of written language, metal tools, or the wheel. This DVD presentation will explore how this empire was established in the inhospitable Andes Mountains. Modern Peruvian society will also be explored. Tuesday, February 23 • 2 – 3:30 p.m. • Program Room • Adults & Teens Machu Picchu - the beautiful and mysterious citadel of the Inca Empire. Discover the history, geography, archaeology and social, policital, economic components of this spectacular Inca treasure. |
