APPLICATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL OPEN POSITIONS. A CANDIDATE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED WITHOUT A COMPLETED ON-LINE APPLICATION SUBMITTED BY THE CLOSING DATE.
Applications are reviewed by Human Resources personnel and forwarded to the hiring supervisor following the closing date. Should you be selected for an interview you will be contacted by Human Resources. Usually, interviews are scheduled within three weeks of the closing date.
Depending on the number of recruitments and other projects within the Human Resources Department and the hiring department, this process may take longer than the time period stated above.
The Town reserves the right to conduct second interviews, administer tests or sample work projects to assess the candidates’ knowledge, skills and abilities. Please note, candidates may be subject to a physical examination, drug test, and/or background investigation. Questions regarding this process should be directed to the Human Resources Department.

Recruitment for sworn officers and dispatchers for the Oro Valley Police Department is handled by the Police Department.
The Police Department Application is a full Background Investigation and is required for most Police Department personnel. The job posting will state if a Police Department Application is required.
