When purchases are made within the Town and sales tax is applied, the Town receives 2% of the taxable sale. 

Sales taxes represent 23% of the Town's fiscal year 2011/12 budgeted revenues.  Local taxes represent approximately 47.5% of the General Fund's fiscal year 2011/12 budgeted revenue. 

When you shop local, you are helping local business succeed. 

Sales tax collections for fiscal year 2010/11 were approximately $12,087,000!  100% of that money goes directly toward public safety, the library, new parks, trails, services and facilities our community has asked for.
