Current Project Acitivities


Activities as of the week of  November 21, 2011

  • There are still two Golf Cart Crossings in operation between Fry’s driveway and Stargazer Drive.  These crossings will remain while the concrete culvert (golf underpass) and soil nail walls on the south side are under construction.  The speed limit on Lambert Lane is reduced to 15 MPH in this area.
  • Water Main work continues at various locations between Mira Mesa and Autumn Hill, with several laterals and connection to the pump station near Pistachio.
  • Storm Drain Pipe placement continues west of Mira Mesa.
  • Storm Drain Catch Basin (curb inlet) construction has started on the east half of the project.
  • Concrete Curb construction will start this week on the east end of the project.
  • Block Wall construction is underway throughout the project.
  • Various Soil Nail Walls have been constructed.  Two walls remain on the south side of Lambert across from Autumn Hill.  Once the structural portion of all the walls is complete, the architectural finish will be constructed.
  • Concrete Barrier walls with an artistic finish are being installed on the north side of Lambert between Calle Verano Seco and Pecan Place.  The pattern matches the south wall on the Pusch View Bridge.
  • Sun Tran Park-n-Ride drop off and pick up location has been moved to inside the Riverfront Park parking lot area beginning Thursday, September 15, 2011. This will remain in effect until project completion.  http://www.suntran.com/alerts.php 
  • The multi-use path has been removed during construction and will replaced with the project improvements.
  • Utility contractors are relocating Comcast and Century Link and TEP facilites.
  • The Speed Limit in the construction zone is 25 MPH, except where it is 15 MPH for the golf cart crossings.
