Neighborhood Meetings and Summaries
The Town of Oro Valley has an extensive Public Participation requirement for all new development applications which is intended to:
□ Build trust through effective public outreach
□ Promote fair and open dialogue
□ Inform and educate stakeholders
□ Provide stakeholders an opportunity to ask question, identify issues and forge solutions
□ Promote consistent implementation of agreed upon solutions
The Public Participation provisions require a minimum of two (2) neighborhood meetings for most development applications. The first meeting is an education session to discuss the process and applicable regulations. The second meeting is an opportunity for the applicant to present the project, solicit feedback, and address issues and concerns. A complete listing of the Town’s Public Participation process can be found in Section 22.15 of the Zoning Code.
