
General Plan Amendment
The General Plan is the Town's policy document providing broad guidance in the areas of land use, circulation, public safety, water resources and other community related topics. The General Plan provides for an annual amendment process to consider changes to the document. This year, 4 amendment requests have been received and are currently under review. Neighborhood meetings will be held for each amendment to gain community input on the proposed changes. The specific date and time of the neighborhood meetings (once scheduled) for each amendment can be found under the amendment heading below. Following the neighborhood meeting process, the cases will be forwarded for public hearings and recommendation for the Planning and Zoning Commission during the month of November. The Town Council will then consider the amendments and make a decision at public hearing in December. The current General Plan can be accessed by clicking here. The Town of Oro Valley welcomes all comments on the proposed amendments to the General Plan.
OV1111-001 Rancho De Plata. Request to amend the Oro Valley General Plan for a 13 acre parcel located 1/4 mile south of Tangerine Road on the west side of La Cholla Blvd from Neighborhood Commercial Office (NCO) to Medium Density Residential (MDR 2.1 -5.0 du/ac).
