What can I expect on the day of my inspection?
- You may call our offices the morning your inspection is scheduled at 520-229-4830 and request a 2-hour window for the inspectors arrival. Please call between 8:00 and 8:30 to confirm your 2-hour window.

Interactive Voice Response (IVR)System call 520-229-4898
On the morning of the inspection you may call the Oro Valley Inspector line at 229-4830 between
8:00 - 8:30 a.m. to speak with your Inspector and obtain a 2 hour window for the inspection.
Get the IVR to go. (click here)
The Town of Oro Valley has installed an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) System for scheduling inspections, canceling inspections and retrieving inspection results. In order to use this system, you need to have access to a touch-tone telephone. If you have a rotary phone, you will be transferred to a customer service representative.
Once you have obtained the proper permit(s), you can call the IVR system telephone number 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to schedule the required inspections, cancel any scheduled inspections or get the results of an inspection that has taken place. You may also leave messages for inspectors or access a message from your field inspector. We currently are working on the implementation of an enhancement which will allow for the use of group inspections.
The IVR system will guide you through the steps. Once you become familiar with the system, you can fast track through the menu options. In order to use the system, you need to have your 8-digit activity number(s) and your 5-digit inspection code(s).
Call (520) 229-4898 and you will be prompted through the entire process. Once you have successfully gone through the system, you will be given a confirmation number. You must have this number in order to cancel the inspection. If you have difficulty with the system, you may press 0# at any time and during normal business hours a staff person will be able to assist you.
The inspections are generally made on the next working day after you call and request them. The system will also allow you to schedule inspections up to 3 working days out. This allows you the flexibility to schedule inspections in advance to coincide with your construction schedule. There is a 3:30 p.m. cut off for next day inspections, which means if you call before 3:30 p.m. on Monday the inspection should occur on Tuesday. However if you call before 3:30 p.m. on a Saturday or a Sunday the inspection again would occur on Tuesday. Weekends and holidays are not considered working days
