Begining May 1, 2012 through Labor Day, the Town of Oro Valley will recognize Building Safety Month by launching a summer-long program offering free safety inspections of pool/spa barriers and enclosures. Any town resident may call the Inspection and Compliance Division at 520-229-4815 to request a free inspection. What do I need to request a courtesy inspection?
-
Requestor Information: Full name and best contact phone number
-
Property Information: Full project address
-
Day of Inspection: Please have an adult available at the home on the day of inspection.
-
Inspections may be scheduled as early as the next working day of the requests if scheduled prior to 3:30pm.
What can I expect on the day of my inspection?
- You may call our offices the morning your inspection is scheduled at 520-229-4830 and request a 2-hour window for the inspectors arrival. Please call between 8:00 and 8:30 to confirm your 2-hour window.
- Again, please have an adult at the residence for the inspection and make sure that access is provided (e.g. gate codes, lock box numbers for unoccupied homes, please keep your pets in a safe area).
- Inspections will be conducted. We will look at the barriers and enclosures in accordance with the Town's currently adopted Pool and Spa Code. You may view a section of this code by clicking here.
- A report will be printed at the site. If there are any deficiencies you may contact our Permitting Division at 520-229-4815 to see what, if any permits may be obtained to replace/repair these items.
-
These inspections are a courtesy and will not obligate the owner to make corrections but will provide direction to those equally interested in safety.
