Fines, Fees and Restitutation Enforcement
Oro Valley Magistrate court is participating in the Fines/Fees and Restitution Enforcement (FARE) Program and Arizona Department of Revenue's Debt Setoff program (DSO). The Fines/Fees and Restitution Enforcement (FARE) Program - is a statewide initiative of the judicial branch, with the goals of compliance with and respect for court orders and the law; enhanced customer service; increased revenues; consistency and uniformity in case processing and efficiencies in the collections process. The program is a public/private partnership involving the courts, other governmental entities, including the Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) and Department of Revenue, and a private vendor. Following a competitive procurement process, Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (ACS) was chosen as the private vendor to work with the courts on this program.
Delinquent / Collection
If you receive a Delinquent Letter or a Collection Letter please follow the instructions carefully. You may call the court for information about your account.
Additional fees may be assessed and suspensions enforced.
DSO - A.R.S. 42-1122 allows the Arizona court system to participate in the Arizona Department of Revenue's Debt Setoff program. The DSO program enables participants to intercept Arizona state income tax refunds if an outstanding amount of $21 or more is owed.
A.R.A. 5-525 establish a debt setoff program by which Arizona Lottery winnings of more than $600 could be intercepted to collect delinquent debts of at least $100.
