Oro Valley supports an active arts scene and community. The Greater Oro Valley Arts Council (GOVAC) actively promotes artistic endeavors throughout the town. GOVAC hosts a number of events throughout the year. Click here for their current schedule.Public art is exhibited
throughout Oro Valley. The Town requires all commercial and
industrial
developments to commit 1% of their construction costs to public art
pieces that must be viewable to the public at least 40 hours per week.
The Town hosts a tree lighting event every year. It is held in the
first couple weeks of December. There are activities for kids,
performances from local school groups and a visit from Santa!
Another holiday attraction in Oro Valley is the annual Holiday Parade. This year the Oro Valley Parade Committee will host their 5th annual parade on December 12 at 9:30 a.m.
